Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS): Opening the Possibilities for Deeper Learning and Assessment

This white paper outlines approaches to the teaching of science based on the NGSS, as well as an overview of some of the challenges. It also provides an orientation to some helpful content and technology resources and recommendations for easing the challenges of NGSS assessments. These include building device and delivery system agnostic digital content based on open standards (QTI 2.X, APIP, and QTI-PCI).
